Low Fat to Fat Free Recipes

Jul. 7th, 2011 | 06:06 pm

Hello friends, how are you?! I hope everyone is well and life is good. Life has had it's wonderful ups and downs lately but that's just life :). My father has pancreatitis and I'm trying my best to do some recipe research/trials to see what I can best convince him to eat! I'll be seeing him in August and am super excited to make some yummy but good for him meals.

What are your favorite low fat (30%) and fat free recipes? I'll take anything I can get. The only real catch is that it can't be very spicy and refined foods should be kept to a minimum but I can always change that myself! Thanks in advance.

He's a big meat eater which he knows he has to cut back on. While this might not be his cup of tea I thought I'd share this sandwhich with you guys as it's really low fat...

Best Sandwich (but can vary with everyone)
Ezekial Bread (going to try wheat with him)
spread over with Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
Basil leaves
Tomato slices
Avocado slices (or guacamole)

The Ultimate Dance Party...

Aug. 5th, 2010 | 10:46 am

If you had to come up with a playlist for an epic evening of dancing and having fun what would be on your playlist?

I know this is lame but i want everyone to have a good time and dance around as much as i will be in September. Drew and i happen to be doing the dance party music on either a computer or ipod, no money for a DJ but i think this leaves tons of room for awesomeness! So, feel free to add on to this whenever you want as i'll be working on it for awhile, any help is super appreciated!

I need images/pages of magazines/books that you find interesting and mailed to me. I'll try to pay for your postage. All images would need to be sent within the next 10-30 days, 30 at the latest? I'd like to possibly use them in a 60 day art project i've decided i'm going to attempt. Today is day 1. This is going to go get interesting!!

Message me for address :)

If you know of other places that would allow me to post this please let me know!!

Up in smoke...

Apr. 28th, 2009 | 12:00 pm

From time to time i still miss smoking nice cigars. There is something spectacular about smoking a fine smuggled cuban cigar from an upperclass cigar collection and watching the sunset on the intercostal waterway. They say it just isn't lady like, to them i say- go suck a duck, as i smooth out my dress and fix my lipstick. There's no intercoastal waterway close to me anymore and the smoke of those cigars are lost in a previous sunsetting life.

So, life is crazy- no matter who you are, no matter how old or young you are it's all crazy. I've mentioned before that i'm working on this little book series (entitybook.com i need to update it badly) and tonight i started a tiny book to be passed between my boyfriend and I. I partly started it as something fun for us to do- i don't want our schedules to eventually make us feel like we don't know each other any more and partly to help me keep my sanity right now. Hopefully he likes the idea.

So the first thing I asked was, what are five things that no matter what always make you happy and/or make you smile? This does not include your loved one, family or friends.

I used to have a long list of things that were random but always made me happy (i swore it was in my lj somewhere). From time to time i would read it, bring things back in to perspective and sometimes i'd just pull it up to add something else. Typically these things were silly like peach jolly ranchers, playing in the rain, hearing a specific song... you get the point. I was actually banking on going through that list and adding my five things. I started writing my five things, got to number three and started to draw a blank. Have I really forgotten the things that make me happy or am i just having a moment of writers block? I'm going to blame it on the writers block, the other option isn't a proper excuse to me.

So, what are the five things that no matter what always make you happy and/or make you smile? This does not include your loved one, family or friends.

Sorry this was a little long. If anyone else has fun questions to ask please feel free to add them :).
